Shehzada Dhami was one of the participants on Bigg Boss 18. The actor made headlines when he was ousted from Rajan Shahi’s Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In the first episode of the Salman Khan hosted reality television show, the actor opened up and accuse makers of being unprofessional. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Shehzada elaborates about the issue that transpired on YRKKH sets.
Shehzada on being disturbed after YRKKH controversy
The actor and his co-stars Pratiksha were ousted from the show overnight due to reported unprofessional behaviour and breach of contract. Talking about how he was upset by everything, Shehzada says, “If I say that I wasn’t disturbed at all then I will be lying. Any person who goes through such a thing gets disturbed. But when I left the show, it was over for me. I left everything behind. This started bothering me when interviews were coming out and unexpected things were being written about me. People called me arrogant, but it was my choice to be silent and don’t say anything about the fiasco. I will react to things that are real or true. If I react to things that are made up, I’d be foolish.”
He added, “I’m sure all of you must have thought, ‘Shehzada will definitely say something when he comes out.’ But I know, I used to get 20-20 calls a day from different media people, but I wouldn’t pick up.”
Shehzada also recalls how Rajan Shahi called him his child a day prior to incident. “I remember that Rajan Sir was kissing my forehead calling me my son, my child. And the next day that same person was badmouthing me. How would you feel? It was surprising to me. When all this was coming out, I decided to just let it go.”
Shehzada on respecting Rajan Shahi
Opening up about speaking about feud during Bigg Boss 18, the YRKKH actor says, “Main wahan bhi nahi bolta agar mujhe poocha nahi jaata. Show mein yeh baat laata hi nahi main. Scenario bana diya jaata hai ki ab toh bolna hi padega yaar. Mere saamne itni solid personality hai itne bade actor hai, agar woh mujhse pooch rahe hain toh mujhe bolna toh padega. (I wouldn’t have speak about the issue if I was not asked. Scenario was created. I had Salman Khan in front of me and if such a big actor is questioning me I will have to answer).”
He concluded by saying, “I still don’t speak bad about them. I respect them as I’ve worked with them, and they’ve given me a lot. That show gave me a lot of love. People knew me after that show and Bigg Boss. But I would say this is just the beginning.”
